Dangerous Power was the first game I made in Unity, and was developed as a result of my Mini-Game Development unit. Being developed soley by me, meant I had to get my hands dirty with C# in Unity. I remember the biggest struggle was getting the player character to face where the mouse was pointing. Took me a whole day to get working.
The story behind Dangerous Power was that a wizard under attack in his tower has to fend off a horde of enemies as they file in one by one at the top of his tower. The thing about the wizard though, is he was never too great at using mana as a cost for his spells. This resulting in him using his own life force. This made his spells incredibly powerful, but meant he was unable to cast for long. This tied in with the game's overburn mechanic, making player's unable to continuously spam spells, and instead had to be more careful with their attacks
By the end of development I had a proof of concept prototype, showcasing the player movement, spell casting, spell switching, and enemy waves. This game would be quite easy to remake, and would probably be a good one to knock out in a week or so.
Game wasn't designed for aspect ratios other than 16:9. I was quite clueless back then.
